Access in and out of the bath can be achieved by using a range of equipment. Bath boards and bath seats to suit the various shapes and dimensions of baths can be viewed at the Clydebank showroom during Tuesday pm and Wednesday am opening times.

More advanced powered bath seat are on display and can be demonstrated in a home setting by making an appointment via the customer services team.

Mermaid bath hoists are fixtures external to the bath with a sling arm and a chair. This version requires the involvement of the technical services team to ensure that the floor structure and bath position are suitable for this product range.

Ceiling track hoists are regularly used over a bath. Further advice on this solution is recommended.



Oxford Bathing Hoists


The Ranger enables a single transfer between the changing rooms and poolside, making life easier for the user and carer. The Ranger transporter can also be used as a toileting aid and has a shower seat option.


The Oxford Mermaid hoist is a fixed bath side hoist that enables patients to transfer safely in and out of the bath. The Mermaid is available in both electric and mechanical versions and can be used with a fixed seat version or with the Ranger transporter system.

Poolside hoist

The market leading Dipper is a proven, reliable and safe method of gaining access to the water and has a weight capacity of the 140kg or 22st. Suitable for use at swimming pools, therapy pools and quayside locations it is designed to be both flexible and highly functional.

Reval Onyx Bath

The Onyx bathing system has been specifically designed for medium to very high dependency needs and is available in two tub sizes. The longer option generously accommodates larger patients, while the compact shorter option is designed to maximise space.

Onyx features a silent high-low function, which allows caregivers to work in a safe position when bathing high dependency patients, which can often take longer. HydroSpa, AromaSpa, ColourSpa and AudioSpa sensory options are also available reducing stress, increasing healing times and promoting comfort and relaxation for those patients who most need it.

Caleche Bath

The Caleche is the ideal side transfer bath for either independent users or those requiring assisted bathing. They are suitable for use in hospitals, nursing and residential care facilities and sheltered accommodation.

The Caleche and Caleche Compact are both stylish and functional enabling walk in access, side transfer from wheelchair or commode chair, as well as from mobile or ceiling track hoists. Their compact designs enable installation in the smallest of spaces and their large, internal dimensions provide ample room for users up to 200kg. The large, lockable, side access door provides added security. HydroSpa is available as an option.

Nottingham Rehab


A plastic bath board with a proven track record of strength, durability and ease of use. Slip resistant pads, large 75mm (3") brackets and large nylon wing nuts enable tight fitting with minimal effort. Can be used in conjunction with a bath seat or can be used as a shower board. Can be autoclaved on cleaning cycles up to 80C. Latex free.

Seat width: 248mm (9 3/4"). Minimum bracket width: 533mm (21").


A tough plastic moulded stool type seat. Leg positions are adjustable to give desired stability with different bath widths. Large rubber suckers provide firm fixing. Available in two heights. May be autoclaved on cleaning cycles up to 80C.

Combining superb functionality and outstanding performance with great design, the Bathmaster Sonaris sets the standard for safe independent bathing. With an all plastic construction the Sonaris is easy to clean and maintain, and is strong and robust ensuring complete stability. Sufficiently lightweight to be easily manageable, it fits into the bath with the minimum of effort.

The Sonaris has been designed to provide a comfortable and supportive bathing position which may be further enhanced with the addition of the optional pads. The single button operation allows the user to descend and keep the backrest upright or to recline back to a more comfortable position, whilst retaining ample leg room to relax in the bath.

The hand controller incorporates a superior battery delivering market leading performance. It incorporates a host of useful features, including audible and visual alarms to signify operation and battery charge levels, and a handy sleep function to preserve the battery life.
